Assistant Solano Soccer Coach Sissi Do Amor Invited to Attend FIFA Congress in Mexico City

Sissi Do Amor, Solano Assistant Soccer coach and former Brazilian super star has been invited to the 66th FIFA Congress in Mexico City, May 11-13, 2016. This World Soccer congress is a very prestigious event. Sissi was invited to the FIFA congress to play in a “Legends” game that is being initiated by the newly elected FIFA president. There will be a “Legends” game for both men and women. Additionally all invitees, will have the opportunity to meet with the new FIFA president and discuss the status of women’s soccer as well as attending official FIFA activities at the congress.

Sissi do Amor, the former Brazilian National Team Player, who is currently in her third season assisting the Solano College Women’s Soccer team, is the former Golden Boot Award Winner, for scoring the most goals in the 1999 World Cup in the United States and also the Silver Ball Award Winner, the 2nd Most Valuable Player in the 1999 World Cup.

Sissi is regarded among the top 5 Women’s Soccer players of all time in the history of the world. She played in 3 World Cups and 3 Olympics for Brazil. She was recognized by FIFA in the 2015 Women’s World Cup as one of the “Icons” of the women’s game. Sissi was also recognized in the 2015 Women’s World Cup for scoring one of the best goals in World Cup history.
