Getting Ready: Fall Semester

Hopefully everyone has registered for their Fall 2011 semester classes. Fall semester begins August 17th. It is very important to be prepared for the semester. To do so, students should make an appointment with Amy Gaylor to be sure they are in all the right classes. MESA program students are required to make at least two counseling appointments each semester. Ms. Gaylors schedule can be found in the MESA center.

Furthermore, it is a good idea to take advantage of the MESA privileges; the MESA center is open for quiet studying, and it also has dedicated MESA staff to assist when help is needed. Students are allowed computer access and up to five prints per day.

Other ways of being prepared for this upcoming semester are to check all requirements for the course. These requirements can be found in the Solano bookstore webpage under textbooks. Also, be sure to make it to the first day; it is said that 80% of success is just showing up. So follow these steps to get a good start on the fall semester classes.
